Bringing a welcoming touch of Thailand to Rotorua, The Studio provides a genuine Traditional Thai Massage experience coupled with pleasant surroundings and friendly, family atmosphere.
Established by Thida and John in 2015, The Studio started life in Rotorua with Thida and a small, one-table shop working from a local gym. Moving to a larger shop on Eruera Street in March 2016, we added our first two staff therapists, Julie and Fiona who are still with us today.
John joined the business full time in 2016 as Business Manager, handling the front-end business and managing sales and marketing. In December 2018, The Studio expanded to the shop next door, doubling capacity, adding extra massage tables and employing extra staff.
Now, in 2021, The Studio employs up to nine therapists and two reception/office staff and is open seven days a week specialising only in traditional Thai massage, Averaging over 9000 massages per year, The Studio is acknowledged as the top Thai massage facility in the Bay of Plenty and recognized as one of the top Thai massage businesses in the country.
Our therapists are carefully selected and hand-picked from around New Zealand. Fully qualified, each team member has a minimum of ten years massage experience and possesses their own unique styles and techniques, allowing The Studio to match a therapist to suit each client’s needs.
The Studio massage team is recognized nationally and internationally as one of the best massage teams in the trade with five-star reviews and numerous awards for excellence.
